Nicole + Jared {Charleston Wedding

Since the weather is a little dreary outside, I thought I'd try to liven up everyone's
morning with a little Monday Flower love.

First up is Nicole and Jared's I'on Creek Club wedding designed by the ladies of
Red Letter Events and Branch Design Studio and photographed by the fabulous Marni Rothschild.  The vibrant color palette can't not make you smile.  I love how the mix of pinks, corals and yellows pop right off the bright blue of the bridesmaid's dresses.
Enjoy!

Bagpipers {Wedding Details}

After celebrating St. Patrick's Day this past weekend,
I haven't been able to stop thinking about bagpipes.
(Confession: I've even been listening to Celtic music on pandora all week long)

I love seeing a bagpiper at a wedding ceremony.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
The sound of the pipes is so stunning and
it leaves quite the unexpected impression on your guests.
It definitely is a pleasant change from 'Here Comes the Bride'.

There are countless ways to incorporate the pipes into your wedding.

-At the ceremony location,
have the piper welcoming guests to set the stage for the day.

-Consider having the bagpiper lead the processional to the sounds of
'Highland Cathedral'.
But keep him hidden until it's time.
It's a great surprise for your guests and it's definitely a showstopper.

Heidi Elnora: {Wedding Dress Designer}

This year Charleston Wedding Magazine is bringing heidi elnora to town as the featured designer for the highly anticipated Bridal Show this Saturday, March 26th.

Take a quick peek at her new 2011 Collection
It's full of southern charm and sass and I can't wait to see it hit the runway.

So dreamy and feminine...right?

Her new concept allows brides to "build-a-gown".
After choosing a Silhouette, brides can customize their gowns by selecting the fabrics and embellishments to create a truly personalized and one-of-a-kind gown.
The sky's the limit!

You can find Heidi's gowns across the country or visit her two locations in Birmingham and Atlanta

Don't miss her this Saturday.  Tickets are $45.00, doors open at 10:30 am. Enjoy!

Speciality Drinks: {Wedding Details}

With the start of wedding season upon us and the temperature rising, I can't help but think about what cool, refreshing cocktails will be served up this spring.

Here are a few of my favorite options...

Guests are always pleasantly surprised
when greeted with a colorful glass of sangria.
The best thing about sangria is you can mix up the recipe to fit your liking.
Not a fan or red wine?  Why not try white?

Mojito with a Carribbean twist?  Yes, please!
Check out this winning signature cocktail created by
Ice Box Bar Services's mixologist, Boris Van Dyck,
that was featured at this year's Charleston Food + Wine Festival.

Going green for your big day?
Duvall Events featured this delicious,
chilled beverage at the Green Fair this past fall.

1 part Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, 1 Part Lemonade and a Twist of Lemon over ice.
Your Northern guests will fall in love with this fan-favorite.
How's the saying go..."Put some South in your Mouth"?

Tiger Lily Martini
Okay, this one is a personal favorite.
While in college, this was the signature drinks at one of my favorite restaurants.
It's delish.
Not too strong, not too sweet.
Something that both men and women enjoy.
You'll have to excuse my bartending terms, hopefully this makes sense :)

Shake:
1 part Peach Schnapps
1 part Sour Mix

Dash of Sprite
Top of with champagne
Drip Chambord down the side of the glass

Unfortunately, they don't have a website and no image of the beverage
but I promise it's worth testing out :)
